EFST AGM 17.09.09
The EFST AGM was held at Bayview on Thursday 17th Sept. And this is a brief summary of what was reported and discussed.

Treasurer’s Report.
The main items in the accounts to 31.05.09 were

1) The All time greats evening lost £1200 but the board were aware of this before the event. The reason was a combination of players and their guests not being charged and keeping the ticket price affordable for as many fans as possible

2) The programme made a profit of £1500 due to advertising revenue supporting losses incurred on programme sales v printing costs.

3) The raffle made a profit of over £1000 with 50% going to Maggies.

4) The Trust bought another 500 shares which brings the total to 3600.

Associate Board Member’s Report
It was reported that a good working relationship was developing and that we are helping the EFFC board consider new approaches towards commercial and communication opportunities. Two significant projects are the development of the EFFC website and a collaboration with Adam Smith College to record home (and away) games.
Programme
Despite losing several advertisers from last season we have managed to maintain price and content as well as quality. Trust board members now sell the programme so between increased sales and cutting out sellers wages from last season we hope to have a profitable season.
Re-elections
Liam Anderson, Stewart Paterson and Kerriann Paterson all resigned from the board but all re-applied and were re-elected.
Membership
Membership is currently 72 and a decision was made not to collect membership fees for now but to re-launch the Trust early in the New Year.
Constitution
At present the Trust constitution states that any funds given to EFFC will be in return for shares. A proposal was made that this should be extended to allow funds to be given to EFFC without shares being given in return if guarantees are in place that the money will be used solely for football development. Because some members pay S/O’s into a “ring fenced” account to be used only for share purchase there was some disagreement both amongst members and board about how this should be implemented. It was agreed that clearly stated proposals, giving alternatives would be prepared for the next quarterly meeting and the matter would then be reconsidered.

The paragraphs below are an extract from the Trust article prepared for Saturday's programme.

Following Stewart Paterson’s resignation as Associate Director the Trust put a new proposal to the EFFC board who promised a speedy reply. True to their word they have accepted our proposal and Eugene Clarke will become an Associate Director representing the Trust.

The Trust are confident that the club will make full use of Eugene’s experience and expertise in PR, Media Management and internal/external communications.

Eugene is also very keen to develop  community involvement at New Bayview (still find it difficult to use “New”) and as this is an area of  opportunity which can only benefit club,Trust and community.

The Trust is also pleased to announce that the club have agreed to sell us an additional 500 shares. This is in response to our recent request and demonstrates the continuing financial support available from the Trust and other affiliated groups. This will bring the Trust shareholding to 3600 shares.
